I have been a registered nurse for a total of 15 years. I worked for many years in a hospital setting as a Labor and Delivery nurse prior to my midwifery education. It was my own birth experiences and love for birth that led me to become a midwife. I graduated from midwifery school in 1999 and have worked as a Nurse-Midwife in hospitals, home or birth centers. It is my belief that BIRTH REALLY DOES WORK for healthy women with adequate prenatal care. Prenatal care and routine screening is essential to having a healthy pregnany with a safe outcome.
